The process flow of free forging: upsetting first, extension and stagger, punching, cutting, trimming correction, heat treatment, sand blasting, and then obtain the forging blank. Free forging process is particularly suitable for manufacturing products with simple structures and large-sized products, and can be produced in weights ranging from a few kilograms to several hundred kilograms.

Free forging process is suitable for shaft, disc, or ring type products with simple shapes, small cross-sectional changes, and a smooth straight or curved axis. Most important, it can improve the internal structure of forgings and enhance the mechanical properties of products. Forging process can avoid defects such as porosity, shrinkage, and inclusions inside metal castings. For products with simple shapes and small quantity, free forging process is a good choice.
