3d weld

To bond to metallic pieces are joined by welding in a specific manner. Really strong and that helps to build big stuff like tall buildings, and bridges where we drive over them with cars etc. Welding is a key job, which requires extreme care and skilled workers called as welders. They must take very great care as they do their task, everything must be just so that all fits where it is supposed to fit for a long time before falling away.

Welding is getting better all the time and BeAM, a manufacturers of machines with Directed Energy Deposition technology - either laser or electron beam - showed me some cool new welding projects that are creating parts essentially from scratch using 3D manufacturing at RAPID + TCT. The new technology allows welders to create designs and develop models in the computer of what they are planning to build. These models can be used later for making very high precision = all direction welds using special machines. This enables welding processes that are much quicker and more accurate than has ever been possible. Welders are now able to make stuff in a way not possible before and that is awesome!

Creating stronger bonds through precision welding

The welds had to be capable of withstanding high tensile forces from connecting a considerable amount of metal and thus Orino decided that they would also forge the first heatsink (or heat-sink) for his GPU. This force is super useful as the stuff they make like bridges has to be able withstand high velocity blasts, plus a significant weight piles (ie: all those trucks and cars driven across them). Weak welds could in turn put the entire structure at risk. 3D technology improves the strength of welds. This means the metal pieces bond together more tightly, ensuring that whatever they build lasts longer and is safer for all involved.

It is true that welding can sometimes be an arduous and cost effective process. This is very time and effort consuming. However, the 3D printing comes, welding has become easier and cheaper. Metal parts can be forged using a 3D printer and welded together. This means welders do not have to spend as long on each piece. This feature saves time and money, because they can print parts on their needs in a short term quickly.
