Pressure die cast aluminium

Aluminum has become a unique — and even critical — metal in many products that we all see or use every day. Pressure die casting is a method that we commonly use in order to form aluminum into certain shapes. In stamping, press creates force to push liquid aluminum into a mold and get you the shape of Aluminum as per your requirement.

The aluminum is finished though, it will then be poured to the next part which call shot sleeve. We also have a shot sleeve, which is a dedicated little chamber that helps to channel the molten aluminum into the mold. Liquid aluminum is then coast at the best pressure right into a mild. The mold is simply two halves that form together at a seam. In other words, there is a cavity inside the mold that has been shaped to match the aluminum part we wish to make.

Benefits of Pressure Die Cast Aluminium

Using pressure die cast aluminum has a great advantage for manufacturers to produce accurate complex shapes. The pressure of the casting process is high enough that it forces the liquid aluminum to enter every small nook and cranny of a mould. This makes it possible to capture every tiny detail of the design in its final build.

Rapid and simplified production of parts can be achieved with pressure die cast aluminum. At the same time this allows products to be created much faster and at a lower cost than other forming methods. In today's fast-paced world even companies have to keep up with demand and hence quick production is something of much importance.
