How to Make molds For Resin Casting Arts and Craft

Resin molds are versatile and can be used to handcraft jewelry all the way up through producing life-sized art pieces. The resin material used in making a mold is typically made of modeling clay, silicone, and any mixing cup with stir stick. To make a resin mold from scratch, start with modeling clay to sculpt out the piece you want and have it nice any smooth without creases. Per manufacturers instructions, allow clay to dry hard before mixing and pouring silicone over the model. After the silicone sets, peel away any excess with additional clay mush to pull out a mold. After following the instructions and pouring resin into your mold, simply wait for it to set before popping our your molded piece (with received) and reuse you mould all over again. Resin molds can be used to create the most complex and beautiful designs that might not be possible using other methods of manufacturing.
